The Experts’ View: Urban Development

Our research builds on the foundation laid by last year’s study influence of the cargo bike. The aim of our research is to look deeper into the infrastructural requirements and opportunities in the use of cargo bikes in urban logistics. So now it’s time to have a chat with our commissioner and consultant; the City of Rotterdam. Jos Streng, expert in efficient and sustainable urban logistics, and Warner Beumer, senior infrastructural designer, give us their view on the problems and challenges that Rotterdam faces today and in the future. For us it is also a wake-up call. Solving problems and improving urban life is a long and complicated task.
